What is a Good Weather scratch map?
A Good Weather scratch map is a detailed travel map printed with a gold foil layer on top. As you visit each place, you scratch off the foil to reveal the region underneath, building a visual record of everywhere you have been. Every map is designed in-house by Good Weather.
Which scratch map editions do you make?
There are four editions: Japan, Korea, Thailand and World. The Japan, Korea and Thailand maps show that country in detail down to prefecture, province or region level, while the World edition covers every country. We also make scratch-off postcards in Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary and Congratulations designs.
How do I scratch the map without damaging it?
Use a coin or the edge of a plastic card and work in short, light strokes rather than pressing hard in one spot. Scratch from the middle of a region outwards to keep the borders crisp, and brush the foil dust away with a dry cloth. Avoid anything sharp or metal-tipped, which can score the paper beneath the foil.
Can I frame my scratch map?
Yes. The maps are printed at a standard poster proportion and are designed to be framed and wall-mounted. Frame it without glass pressed tight against the surface if you plan to keep scratching it, or mount it behind glass once your travels are complete.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Good Weather ships to 58 countries across Asia, Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania, with local pricing shown in your own currency in supported markets.
How long will my order take to arrive?
In-stock orders leave our facility within 1 to 2 business days. Delivery then depends on destination: typically 2 to 4 business days for the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Canada, Singapore and Taiwan; 3 to 7 business days across the Eurozone; and 10 to 20 business days for longer-haul destinations in South America, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
What currency will I be charged in?
Prices are shown and charged in your local currency in supported markets, including USD, GBP, EUR, JPY, HKD, SGD, TWD, AUD, CAD, NZD, CHF, THB, MYR, KRW, INR, BRL, MXN, AED, SAR and ILS. Remaining countries are served in USD.
Can I return a scratch map if I change my mind?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery. The map must be brand new and completely unused, with the original tube packaging intact and unsealed. A 40% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns, and the customer arranges and pays for return shipping. Once the tube has been opened the map cannot be resold, so opened items are not eligible for return.
What happens if my map arrives damaged or faulty?
Contact us at info@goodweather-scratchmap.com with your order number and photos. In most cases we send a free replacement without asking you to return the item. If we do need it back for inspection, Good Weather covers the return shipping cost, and no restocking fee applies to faulty, damaged or incorrect items.
How quickly are refunds processed?
Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days of the returned item reaching our facility, or of a defect being confirmed.
Can I cancel my order after placing it?
Orders are processed for shipment automatically. If you request cancellation within 24 hours and the order has not yet shipped, a 10% cancellation fee applies. Once shipping has been arranged the order cannot be cancelled.
